New Energy
Replace Hydrocarbon to H2

Alternative Energy refers to energy sources that are not derived from traditional fossil fuels, which generate hydrocarbon compounds and release carbon dioxide (CO₂) into the atmosphere. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), hydrogen plays a crucial role in reducing CO₂ emissions. Embracing clean energy-derived hydrogen is pivotal in driving the petrochemical industry towards sustainability.

Hydrogen can be initially classified based on its production
method or primary source into three types:
Grey Hydrogen : Produced from natural gas through steam methane reforming, releasing CO2 as a byproduct.
Blue Hydrogen : Similar to grey hydrogen but with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology to reduce CO2 emissions.
Green Hydrogen : Generated through the electrolysis of water using renewable energy sources, resulting in zero carbon emissions
In addition to its role in reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, using hydrogen in combustion processes also decreases the release of carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and various other pollutants. This reduction in harmful emissions helps to mitigate environmental impact and supports the transition towards clean energy for a better future.
